Hello everybody!  We’ve officially made it through the 12th summer of Prima and the 1st summer of Saltwater and we are still alive to tell the tale!  Thank you for all the amazing support and encouragement we’ve received from all of you…we are beyond appreciative!

The opening of Saltwater was remarkably smooth thanks to our amazing crew.  We’ve been able to hammer out minor issues as they’ve arisen, for example we realized right away it was too noisy in there so have now installed acoustic panels which have really helped.  We will be rolling out our take out and happy hour programs at Saltwater in the next two weeks.  Watch our facebook pages for details.

Announcing our next wine dinner at Prima…WINES FROM MOUNTAINOUS REGIONS.  Mountain wines are some of the most intriguing wines in the world. They sing the song of the hill they grow on, sharing with you the unique mineral content of the mountain soil, the elevation, the pitch of the slope. We’ve picked out a swath of these amazing wines from around the world. South American wines from the Andes, volcanic wines from Italy, wines grown in the French Alps, and wines from our own back yard here in Washington state. Their alluring complexities make them extremely fun to pair with food, and unlike most of the wine dinners we’ve done at Prima in the past, the restriction of regionality has been lifted.

November 6th, 7 wine paired courses, $125 per person.  Reply to this email if you are interested! Seatings will be every half hour between 5:30-7:30.  At the time of this email this event is over half way full so contact us soon!

New menu items at Prima – my favorite menu change has happened! Back on the menu we have cassoulet, raclette, french onion soup, and the salade lyonnaise.  Our new pasta is a wagyu short rib ragout with house made noodles, locally grown oyster mushrooms and pecorino romano.  Our plats du jour are now: Coq au vin on Sunday, bouillabaisse on Monday, choucroute garni on Tuesday, moulard duck breast a l’orange on Wednsday and a Berkshire porkchop with munster and a gratin of yukon gold potatoes on Thursday.
